At BMT, our research and development programmes are designed to benefit our customers, through investigations into new technologies to bring new functionality to our software, or through continuous improvement schemes in order to make our software more effective and efficient.

TeMAP (Technology Management, Acquisition & Planning) is one such application which was born from one of our research programmes. This application is designed to allow users to manage their projects and to assess past, present or future technologies which may be suitable for exploitation.

Our capabilities and services have also helped other research organisations such as DSTL (Defence Science and Technology Laboratory) where we created a bespoke web-based application to manage their research and capability information. CONNECT is used across the Ministry of Defence to perform balance of investment activities, and to assess the possible exploitation of future solutions to capability shortfalls.
